Our members come from palliative care settings all over the UK and Eire, and some from even further afield.  Many hospices with membership of Help The Hospices also have membership of the AVSM.

Members' job titles, roles and duties vary considerably, but they share a common responsibility for the many volunteers who provide essential support for their units.

Sharing our experiences and skills, we are able to offer each other a support network nationally and regionally.  Our Executive Committee and Regional Representatives oversee the running of the organisation, which is divided into nine regions.
