Aims of the Association

The AVSM' Mission Statement:

To Promote, Support, Develop and Share Good Practice in Volunteer Management

To achieve this mission statement the AVSM seek, whilst recognising the diversity of its members:

To represent and reflect the views of the membership
To promote and provide training, development, information and guidance relating to good practise through shared experiences
To promote regional and national support and networking for members through a collaborative Executive Committee and Regional Development Forum structure
To liaise with and provide guidance for other professional bodies at regional and national levels
To be involved from the outset in new developments in volunteer management
To raise the profile of the organisation and its membership
